Acceptance
- Initial client meetings
- The extensive due diligence process performed as a matter of law for any new assignment
- Drafting the trust deed and underlying documents and agreements (such as a letter of wishes, etc.)
- Accepting the initial trust assets
- Organising the registration of the trust deed (depending on the jurisdiction)
- Handling incidental expenses including fees for local agents
- Setting up local bank accounts if required, including due diligence paperwork
Administration
- Accepting instructions and requests
- Provision of trusteeship
- Maintaining the trust records and accounts
- Accepting and distributing assets
- Conducting and recording trustee meetings
- Checking and filing of bank correspondence, statements and related documents and, if required, forwarding copies thereof
- Checking and filing of other correspondence and, if required, forwarding copies thereof
- Ongoing due diligence
Termination
- In case of a dissolution, winding up the trust
- In case of termination of our assignment where the trust continues, doing everything necessary to ensure a seamless handover to the successor trustees
